A Platinum, Sapphire and Diamond Ring from the 1832 Collection

Sapphires have enjoyed a special place in the gemstone hierarchy. Hebrew tradition records that the Ten Commandments were inscribed onto sapphire tablets, ancient Christian clergy considered the color of blue sapphire to be associated with heaven, and royalty have adorned crowns, scepters and even armor with the stone for centuries. This ring, from our 1832 Collection, has been hand crafted in precious platinum and set with an oval mixed cut sapphire weighing 2.38 carats and exhibiting a royal shade of deep, intense blue. Flanked on each side by two round brilliant cut diamonds of ideal cutting proportions from one of the world renowned diamond cutting firms and finished with a knife edge shank for chic and timeless look.

A deep, rich blue sapphire weighing 2.38ct, flanked by round ideal cut diamonds weighing .85ct total, in a custom, hand-crafted ring designed to make the side stones somewhat triangular looking, but without the dullness of true triangular shape diamonds (always cut too thin for good light return).
