This is an appointment for a permanent anklet, bracelet, necklace, or ring to be painlessly welded on at our Louisville, KY fine jewelry store.
One appointment can accommodate two people; please book additional appointments if you are bringing a group.
While we cannot guarantee welding without an appointment, we can often accommodate walk-ins. You can always try your luck!
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment so we begin on time.
While the connecting takes just a few minutes, please expect a wait. We can only hold your spot if you are present.
We don't recommend this process if you have ever had an allergic reaction to 14 karat gold.
What is permanent jewelry? Also referred to as forever jewelry, endless chain, zapped jewelry, or welded bracelets, permanent jewelry is a unique way to honor any commitment you might be making whether to a loved one or yourself. Looking for a special way to celebrate a birthday, bridal shower, baby shower, or anniversary? Book Now!
How does it work? We offer a curated selection of fine 14k white and yellow gold chains for you to choose from. We customize the chain length to fit your measurements, connect the two ends with a tiny jump ring, and then weld it closed. This means there is noclasp. However, if at any point you need to remove it, you can clip the jump ring with scissors. We can always reattach it for you later.
"Permanent" does not mean it won't break. Just like any other piece of fine jewelry it is vulnerable to daily wear & tear and should be treated with care in order to guarantee it lasts a long, long time. Please read our POLICIES before booking.
NOTE: Currently we offer anklets, bracelets, necklaces and rings. Chain styles change all the time so you may have the best variety and quality possible. Prices below do not include tax. Payment is due at time of appointment. All sales are final.

We use a high-quality arc welding machine. Unlike soldering, there is no flame, just a tiny spark which presents no danger to you.
Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum welding age is 12 years old.
We currently offer anklets, bracelets, necklaces and rings. Permanent Jewelry is custom-fitted therefore, they are FINAL SALE, but so fun!
Can I remove my Infinite jewelry, if needed? Yes. Your Infinite jewelry is intended to be permanent, but there might be a time when removing it is necessary. The chains are lightweight, so we recommend having someone else carefully cut one link with a pair of scissors. If you wish to have it welded back on later, we are happy to do that for $20.
How should I care for my bracelet? You can clean your jewelry (and charms) with warm water, a gentle toothbrush and dish soap. This will help remove any dirt and debris that might have built up on your jewelry.
What if it accidentally breaks or stretches out? If it breaks off within the first 14 days we will weld it back on or replace it for free. If it breaks within the first 30 days we will weld it back on for free, but lost bracelets will not be replaced. After 30 days, your first repair or adjustment is free regardless of what happened; every repair or adjustment there after will have a $20 fee. Additional charges may apply if the chain is severely damaged or if gemstones need to be replaced. We can create a replica of your initial bracelet, however you would then need to pay full price. We will repair or put on permanent jewelry that that did not come from Merkley Kendrick Jewelers for a $50 fee per piece. Or free with purchase of a Merkley Kendrick Infinite piece.
How long will my Infinite jewelry last? Weeks, months, or years, depending on your lifestyle. While these pieces are designed to withstand everyday wear, they do have their limits. Certain rigorous activities, and factors can make it more prone to breakage.
Will there be a problem at airport security? No, fine jewelry is TSA approved and not required to be removed through airport security.
