These antique Victorian era tortoise shell carvings were at one time a pair of ladies cuff links. The carvings depict cherub's faces with feathery wings behind their sweet profiles. The detail on the wings are especially fine. They each measure 20 mm wide by 23 mm tall by 10 mm deep, and wear like large studs. Some time ago they were converted into earrings and extra large backs were added for support and comfort while wearing.

Absolutely love this 19 carat amethyst and 6 seed pearl brooch from the Victorian Age. Fabricated in 10 karat yellow gold, the Etruscan Architectural Revival detailing is perfection!

A classic Victorian Era cameo of a woman's profile craved from a sea shell and set in 10 karat yellow gold. It can be worn as either a brooch or pendant with the addition of a chain. The outer edge is surrounded with grey seed pearls giving a framed effect to the piece.

This antique 14 karat yellow gold Egyptian revival brooch of the Victorian era features a bird resembling a condor or vulture. It's body is an unidentified red gemstone carved into a cabochon scarab shape and it's wings are delicately enameled with red, green, white, and blue accents. Fun Fact: a scarab is a scared beetle common in Egyptian motif art works. It is said a scarb beetle is what pushes the sun across the sky responsible for the cycle of day to night time.

This Unique "Momento Mori" 16 karat yellow gold and sterling silver ring showcases an urn motif designed with rose cut diamonds and surrounded in blue lapis lazuli weighing .75 carat, accented with light engraving and 28 rose cut diamonds, weighing .80 carat. Momento Mori, translates to "remember you must die" in latin. These types of jewelry pieces were popular during the Victorian era and were worn as reminders of dearly departed loved ones. Other common motifs were skulls, bones, and snuffed out candles, all tempoary things to remind us of the short time we have and to remember to make the most of our lives.
