Merkley Kendrick Jewelers takes pride in offering high levels of unparallel services. Our customers are our primary concern. We strive to meet every customer’s needs and desires, and we are not satisfied until we know our customers are satisfied.
Our store is open at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday;
we close at 5:30 p.m. with the exception of Thursday night
when we are open until 9:00 p.m.
We offer extended holiday hours which will be posted.
We accept most major credit cards, will professionally gift wrap any purchase at no extra charge and will ship your purchase to any of the 50 states.
JEWELRY REPAIR Often times we wait until something breaks, then we pay attention to it. With your fine jewelry that break could mean the loss of something both financially and emotionally valuable. Without even thinking about it we put a lot of wear and tear on our jewelry. Over time prongs shift and begin to wear down, settings become loose, chains break and finger sizes can change. All these things need attention.
We welcome the opportunity to help you take care of your precious jewelry possessions. Our consultants will evaluate any jewelry pieces and provide recommendations for needed repairs or enhancements, as well as a cost estimate to complete the work.
Ring sizing, prong re-tipping, tightening loose gemstones, pearl restringing, jewelry polishing, rhodium plating, clasp replacement, you name it and we will get it done.
JEWELRY DESIGNYou have your great Grandmothers diamond pendant, your Mothers ruby ring and your Aunts pearl earrings. They’re sitting in a box waiting for attention. With your input, combined with that of our experienced consultants, we can create a beautiful piece of history that you will be able to pass down from generation to generation. Or, perhaps you have a style of jewelry in mind that you’ve never seen put together. We can take your from pencil sketch to a final piece of one-of-a kind jewelry that you will cherish forever because it will be uniquely yours. WATCHMAKINGYour watch has hundreds of tiny parts that require care and fine tuning to work properly.
Our watch service department offers a variety of services. Wrist and pocket watch repair, chronograph repair, movement overhauls, watch restoration, dial refinishing, watch batteries or bands, water pressure testing, case and band repairs and quartz conversions. We will welcome the opportunity to take your watch in and perform an evaluation of the needed repairs free of charge.
APPRAISALS
Appraisals come in all shapes and sizes: Most common are retail, replacement, resale, estate, and purchasing.
Retail appraisals reflect the original manufacturers suggested selling price and are usually provided to a you upon purchase.
Replacement appraisals, on the other hand, would be submitted to your insurance company as guide in setting a premium and would be a closer indication of the actual purchase price.
Resale appraisals are suggested when selling an item privately to a third party or on consignment. They give you an idea of a realistic selling price.
Estate appraisals are evaluations on a collection of jewelry that would be equitably divided among family members upon the death of the owner or sold in estate sale or auction.
Purchasing appraisals are assessments made for people who want to immediately sell their jewelry to the jeweler giving the assessment, in this instance the items value is extremely variable and depends on the current needs and buying power of the jeweler.
